This aged diān hong, translated “Yunnan red” comes from Feng Qing County in Lincang City, located on the western edge of Yunnan province. This diān hong, made from the unopened tea buds, is called Jin Hao or “golden hair.” The name refers to the white downy hairs on the leaf that turned gold during the oxidation process.
This tea is the perfect balance between earth and fire energy. There is a depth that lingers in the belly with a warm air that pulls you into present focus. The leaves in their old age, have a very etheric qi, like a distant dream.
