Te Ji is a pu-erh from Guangdong Tea Import and export company which was established in 1952. They were well known for their “Guang Yun Gong” pu-erh cakes and later created the “Golden Sail Brand” and “Jin Fan” trademark in 1965. Te Ji is the name for this particular grade of leaf. Grade is based on size. The order starts with Gong Ting (the smallest), Te Ji, then grades 1 through 9 (largest). Each leaf grade will exhibit varying aromas, tastes, and qi. This Te Ji pu-erh has been aging in a cave since 2003, giving this tea wonderful depth and character.
As a loose pu-erh, this tea is quick to open revealing its dark profile and medium body. This tea has a very stabilizing qi, combining a lucid present head space while bringing a cozy warmth to our center. This pu-erh’s rich earthiness will surely transport you to the heart of the forest.
Tastes Include: Cacao, Petrichor, Vanilla, Damp Wood
