This loose leaf shou pu’erh is made using a small batch fermentation method known as Xiăo Duī Zi produced by Li Shulin from Nannuo Mountain, in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. The leaves are grown and produced naturally without the assistance of any agrochemicals or soil additives. The plants sustain themselves on their own.
This medium bodied shou pu’erh has very meditative qi that centers you into the energy of the forest floor. The feeling is joyous and refreshing, like breathing in moss and mycelium covered trees in the quiet of the night. You can hear the song of the creek harmonizing with water droplets suspended in cool air as you sip this dark nectar. Midnight creek reminds us that nature is sweet.
