This special sheng pu-erh is grown and produced in Yunnan Province by Master Li Shu Lin, an ethnically Ahka minority, whose family has spent many generations living on Nannuo Mountain in Duoyi Village. Mr. Li, whose father was a Tea Master, spent 20 years learning and working at the famously historic Menghai Tea Factory. Since 2000, he has been utilizing all of his knowledge, creating new techniques for producing his own small batch tea. The trees on his farm have never been sprayed, or had the aid of soil additives and fertilizers. These beyond organic trees grow naturally as they would in the wild.
Nannuo Gu Shu Cha is blended from three ancient tree patches: Banpo, Shitou, and Douyi. These tree patches have individualistic qualities that when combined, create a well rounded brew. Floral and astringent in palette, this heady tea has an elevating qi capable of inducing a state of zen. The gentle astringency will become sweet in the throat and aftertaste, a sensation known as hui gan, literally “returning sweetness.”
Tastes Include: Honey, Fresh Chrysanthemum, Blueberry
